Dogs As Ring Bearers? Are You Kidding Me?

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

“We’d like our dog to be the ring bearer,” she said and he nodded. “You want your dog to be the ring bearer?” I echoed in a wobbly voice. “Yes,” she said with a perfectly straight face. “It is because of the dog that we are together and we want him to be in the ceremony.” Inside my head I was hearing a voice screaming, “No. No. Not a dog in a wedding! No, that just won’t work.” But my mouth said calmly, “What kind of dog is it?” The groom responded calmly, “A Rottweiler.” (My life flashed before me along with the image of this big Rottweiler’s mouth around my throat as I tried to pronounce them husband and wife.)

As a wedding officiant it my strong – make that very strong – opinion that the wedding ceremony should be exactly what the couple wants. I put that on everything I send out and it is a major point when having the initial interview with couples. But a dog in the ceremony? Wasn’t that taking it a little too far?

Now I just say, “O.K. How do you intend to handle it?” You see, I have officiated two weddings with dogs as the ring bearer. I certainly don’t recommend it but it can be managed. (I don’t think a cat would ever get down the aisle and I don’t know about other animals’ ability to participate, but some dogs can do it).

In the instance of the Rottweiler, the groom attached a heart shaped red box securely to his collar and put the ring box inside. A tuxedoed friend walked the dog down the aisle just as it was time for the ring exchange. The dog seemed quite delighted about being the center of attention and sniffed everyone on his side of the aisle as he ambled down to his beloved bride and groom. His tale wagged like a giant windshield wiper and he gave the groom’s hand a big lick with his tongue. But he sat like a statue while they took the ring box out and gave it to the best man. The dog, with his attendant, then took their places beside the groomsmen for the remainder of the wedding and, like the gentleman he was, he walked out sedately with the rest of the wedding party in the processional.

So when the next couple wanted their dog, Turbo, in their ceremony I said “yes” without too much concern. If they believed Turbo could do it I was willing to work with them. But I had images of some giant Doberman racing down the aisle, teeth bared, aiming for someone’s leg. I didn’t meet the dog until the wedding (there was no rehearsal). He wasn’t as big as my cat and wiggled all over as he yapped down the aisle. But the couple loved it and the guests seemed quite amused. It went well.

While I certainly never recommend to couples that they make their pooch a part of the wedding party I am willing to work with them to make their wedding memorable and exactly they way they want it – dog and all.

Your FAQ Page – A Sales Tool? You Bet!

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

The FAQ page… a standard addition to almost any site. It usually lists questions customers ask on a regular basis, and the answers to those questions. But what befuddles me is that hardly any sites I’ve visited use this page as a sales tool.

Did you think of that? If not, you’re losing out on the use of some valuable real estate! FAQ pages are generally well-trafficked areas of your site. With just a few adjustments, your FAQ page could become one of your leading sources for sales conversions.

Let me give you a before and after version of one site I visited. I’ve changed some of the information so as not to promote (or embarrass) the site owner.

BEFORE

What is the source of the minerals used in your supplements?

We use all-natural minerals from sources such as limestone and dolomite. Nothing artificial.

What is the source of Vitamin C?

Ascorbic acid, which was originally gained by isolation from fruits and plants, is produced today by an industrial process. The basis for the industrial ascorbic acid synthesis is D-Glucose (grape sugar or corn sugar), one of the most common organic compounds in nature.

Informative? Yes. Does it answer the question? Yes. Does it contribute to making the sale? Not really.

Now, let’s change these two answers just a bit, add a link or two, and see how much more powerful they can become.

AFTER

What is the source of the minerals used in your supplements?

We use all-natural minerals from sources such as limestone and dolomite. These 100% natural minerals are then carefully processed under low heat to remove impurities and preserve quality. Many minerals are processed under high heat, which literally kills the beneficial elements of the mineral. Because of our devotion to producing quality vitamins and minerals, we take additional precautions that other manufacturers skip. To ensure you receive the most potent supplements possible, choose XYZ Vitamins.

XYZ Vitamins uses only organically-grown grapes and corn, and we extract our own D-Glucose to ensure the process remains 100% natural. No other manufacturer in the world has developed its own facility specifically to produce the highest quality of Vitamin C. We go the extra mile to ensure the vitamins and minerals you buy from XYZ Vitamins are the most beneficial for you and your family.

See the difference? The “before” versions JUST answer the questions. The “after” versions boost consumer confidence, promote unique qualities of the products, and offer easy-to-follow links to buy the products in question.

By using some imagination and salesmanship, you can turn your FAQ page into a highly productive tool that not only gives visitors the information they need, but also encourages more sales!

Learn about Setting Up a Mailing List

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

As we all know, this subject is something that we could all use a little education on no matter who you are.

If you want people to come to your website more than once then you necessity to repeat them, from time to time, that you live and give them the newest reports about what’s tainted and what’s been updated. One of the best ways to do this is to gather launch addresses and use them to generate a mailing list. But how do you gather these launch addresses and how do you launch out emails to so many people all at once?

Collecting the send Addresses.

Collecting launch addresses is easier than you might think. People on the web are worn to typing their launch addresses in a lot, and regularly have an launch address to use for this purpose. In most cases, if you ask for an launch address as a situation of accessing something interesting sounding people won’t truly mind generous it to you.

Going through the final part of this article, we will see just how important the subject can be to many people.

One way of liability this is to merely embrace a box on each page unobtrusive and not truly calling notice to itself that gives your visitors the choice to indicator up to your newsletter. rather counter-intuitively, it is regularly better to make mailing list sign-up wholly voluntary, as this means you will get a slighter list but it will only have the most enthusiastic people on it.

Basically, it’s a trade-off between forcing as many people as feasible to indicator up or just marketing to the most eager people. Your strategy should regularly be decisive by how many people you plot to launch out emails to and what kind of retort rate you appear to be getting.

What to Write in Your Mailing tilt Emails.

If you want people to read the emails you launch to them then they can’t just be the newest dull reports about your precise website features that no-one even cares about. You necessity to offer information and updates that are practical and germane to the part who’s ready to be cavity that email.

If you just write in corporate speak and don’t say something that’s ready to be practical to true people then your launch is ready to be ready straight into their refuse mail. You should take some time over your emails. Make them something that their recipients are ready to want to keep and submit to more than once often-updated, time-sensitive information is best, if you have access to it.

Apart from that, make sure to embrace links to the newest things on your website, as well as a few elder things that are still popular. If you market anything, you should work in a link, but don’t be too clear about it a good way of liability things is to embrace a tip or two with potential uses for a certain product (making them look like they are planned for people who already own the product), sparking the reader’s curiosity enough to click through and judge buying it.

The official Side.

Once you’ve got a mailing list and you’ve printed the first launch you want to launch to it, the next step is to set up the precise side of things. Just how do you think those emails are ready to get sent out? Surprisingly enough, you can just use a usual launch series like Outlook, if you paste all the launch addresses into it. If you do this, though, you necessity to make sure that you use the Bcc (blind carbon copy) meadow for the addresses, to duck transfer out a duplicate of the mailing list to everybody on it.

Alternatively, there are specialist programs you can get that are dedicated to hulk mail. Because spam is such a big industry, companies producing such programs lean to be cool stay away from something that advertises itself on the center of how many emails it can launch in a detailed but if you look around, you should be able to find something that meets your needs.

There are even web-based solutions that duck you having to settle any programs or launch any launch from your computer, avoiding the hazard that you might get blacklisted someway for transfer out too many emails in too brusque a time. If you can find a reasonably-priced one, then they’re regularly the model solution, allowing you to direct your lists directly and launch out emails easily. Make sure to do a few test runs with slighter figures of people before you commit yourself to anything, though.

No matter which way you look at it, having a firm understanding of this topic will benefit you, even if it is just slightly.

Template websites…the way forward >>>

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Having recently got back into wildlife photography after a long spell away I decided that the way forward must be the addition of my own website. I had worked as freelance wildlife photographer and illustrator during the 90’s however with the addition of a young family had to look at diversifying towards the graphic design industry to realistically look at earning a decent living. As any self-respecting wildlife photographer will tell you choosing it as a means of earning a living is very rarely as glamorous or as profitable as it’s portrayed.

The challenge now was to acquire a website, with my own skills very much aimed at the offline design and print industry looking at doing it myself seemed daunting therefore I began looking around at getting a professional design agency to create something to my requirements. What I was looking for was simple, a resource I could point customers and potential photo agents and libraries towards that would give them a profile of myself and to show off a handful of my best images and previous commissions, just like an online brochure. Additionally though I also wanted to be able to sell a selection of my photos online as I display some of my photos in and around my local area of South Somerset and often get orders for them particularly during the height of the tourist season. The buying online bit seemed to be the sticking point and increased the quotes I got from professional design agencies by a substantial amount.

Due to this I decided that I would have a go at the project myself however before I had properly got stuck into it a colleague pointed me in the direction of a template website company called Liquidsites which he recommended was the way forward as it was specifically targeted at small businesses and individuals who are looking at a simple and cheap website solution. Additionally it had the benefit of an online shopping system built into it. Having looked at Liquidsites it became very obvious that it ticked every box I needed and more. With a unique ‘reseller’ option available I have also been able to earn £150 every time I refer a successful buyer to it. Within just one weekend I had been able to put together a professional looking website and three months on and with a little advice from Sitemakers.com a search engine optimisation company in Somerset I received over 50 photo orders over the Christmas period.

All about META Tags – Part 1

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

This article was first published at http://www.wise-designs.com > where more than 200 useful articles and tutorials can be found

In these articles I’ll try to explain all there is to know about
META tags and their important role in any website.

META tags are extremely useful for your site as they help it get
listed in search engines, identify the creator of the page, what
HTML specs the site has, etc etc etc. Meta tags can even help to
avoid the page that has it being framed! These were just few
examples of the wide range of uses meta tags can have. Their
information most common uses are: by browsers to display the
site correctly; and by search engines spiders to better list
your site in their index. Read more to get to know them better
one by one, how to use them and in what search engines they are
recognized.

Where to put the META Tags?

Meta tags are always inserted within the
container. To get a better perspective how it is done you can
check the source code of any given web site! Usualy you can do
this by right clicking your mouse on the site and chose “View
Source Code”.

Categories of META tags

You’ll find two kinds of META tags available for use! The
HTTP-EQUIV and the normal (usual) META tags.

Let’s start with the nomal ones and let the HTTP-EQUIV for
later! Within the regular META tags let’s start with the most
importat ones for Search Engines indexing… the ones that are
considered the vital ones in order to achieve better results and
better rankings.

- Description Tag

Syntax:

This tag is used to provide search engines with a description of
the page they are indexing. If you analyse the results of any
search at Google or Yahoo you’ll notice that there’s the title
of the page in bold and a small description below! The title of
the page is take from the tag and the description is<br /> taken from this META tag! This tag is on the top 3 most<br /> important for a site as it will assist search engine’s robots to<br /> better index you. They’ll just put in their index any sentence<br /> you write for that specific page. If you don’t have this tag<br /> present on the page the robot will use the text from the first<br /> paragraph of the text within the body area of the page. It’s<br /> recommended that you use less than 144 characters for this tag<br /> tho Google and other major search engines only use about 60-80<br /> to display!</p> <p><b>- Keywords Tag</b></p> <p>Syntax: <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="keyword1, keyword2,<br /> keyword3, keyword50"></p> <p>First of, Google don’t use this tag for indexing… but Yahoo<br /> and more engines do! This tag is used for you to make the spider<br /> know the words that logically best describe your site and the<br /> content of the page! You can use a single word or a small phrase<br /> with 3 or 4 words separeted by commas (avoid using “and”, “for”,<br /> “or”… these are known as stop words). The lengh of this meta<br /> tag can vary but it’s advisable by many Search Engine<br /> Optimisation experts that this tag has less than 1024<br /> characters, with no word repeated more than 7 times. Also it’s<br /> recommended that the keywords are listed by order of<br /> importance.</p> <p><b>- Distribution Tag</b></p> <p>Syntax: <META NAME="distribution" CONTENT="global"></p> <p>This tag specifies how the document using it shall be index.<br /> “global” is a normal indexing directive that allows the document<br /> to be index by the major internet search engines. If you want to<br /> avoid this indexing just change the word “global” to “local” and<br /> the document will only be indexed by an intranet indexing<br /> engine.</p> </p> <p>These three (plus the title tag of your site) are the ones you<br /> need to be an expert at in order to get great results. Managing<br /> the keywords present in each of this tags gets you higher and<br /> higher on Search Engines Positioning and therefore lots and lots<br /> of visitor.</p> <p>In the 2nd part of this article I’ll explain all other tags that<br /> are not that important to Search Engines but sometimes useful<br /> for controling the performance of your site when being displayed<br /> to your precious visitors. </p> <p>I sincerely hope that you find this article useful to you and<br /> also that you feel ready to do that upgrade needed in your site!<br /> For more articles please check our webmaster’s resources and<br /> templates site at <a href="http://www.wise-designs.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.wise-designs.com</a> </p> </div> <p class="postmetadata">Posted in <a href="http://www.incredits.com/archives/category/onlinewebresources/" title="View all posts in Online Web Resources" rel="category tag">Online Web Resources</a> | <span>Comments Off</span></p> </div> <div class="post"> <h3 id="post-174"><a href="http://www.incredits.com/archives/2008/12/26/purchase-cricket-equipment-on-the-internet/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Purchase Cricket Equipment on the Internet">Purchase Cricket Equipment on the Internet</a></h3> <small>Friday, December 26th, 2008</small> <div class="entry"> <p>When you are just about to start to play cricket it’s not always easy to choose what you need to acquire. If you go into a sports retail shop and ask them what you require, you will most likely end up getting a substantial amount of gear that you don’t need. So, it’s important to fathom what you require prior to you going shopping. That way you are very much more likely to get hold of what you want, as opposed to what the store owner recommends you require.</p> <p>Below, is more or less a full cricket equipment inventory, you do not need all the kit on this list, as a substantial number of organisations will lend you equipment especially at youth level:</p> <p>Cricket whites, cricket bats, balls, helmets, gloves, batting (wicket keeping) inner gloves, wicket keeping gloves, batting pads, wicket keeping pads, box, chest pad, arm guard, inner thigh pad, cricket boots (bowling boots; batting boots), box (groin guard), stumps and bails. For great offers on <a href="http://www.sportswear-equipment.com/cricket/index.htm">camping gear</a> visit the Sportswear-Equipment.com today.</p> <p>For most of the games you will ever play you will need to have your own set of whites. Cricket whites consist of white cricket trousers and a cricket shirt. It is important that you purchase a proper set of cricket trousers & also a good white cricket shirt & jumper as it can easily turn pretty cold if you are standing out on the field for a large amount of time particularly if you are going to play in England (the start and end of the season are the coldest).</p> <p>If you can not borrow gear from your club the other most important items of equipment are a cricket bat and box. A good cricket bat is necessary if you plan to score plenty of runs & is a very individual piece of equipment, spend a great deal of time choosing your bat, ideally you would be advised to go to a sports store and try one out before you buy so you know how it feels to hit with. When you know what you want you can often get bats online noticeably cheaper). You need a good box to protect your groin from the ball, as getting hit down below’ is extremely painful, so investing in a good box before you start is a clear must – you can’t play cricket without one.</p> </div> <p class="postmetadata">Posted in Uncategorized | <span>Comments Off</span></p> </div> <div class="post"> <h3 id="post-173"><a href="http://www.incredits.com/archives/2008/12/25/web-site-design-tips-for-writers/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Web Site Design Tips for Writers">Web Site Design Tips for Writers</a></h3> <small>Thursday, December 25th, 2008</small> <div class="entry"> <p>There are thousands of writers, paid and unpaid, online and offline, who are in the process of putting their works up for the audience of the World Wide Web to witness. This is a marvelous opportunity for undiscovered talent to be given a chance for literary acceptance, and it’s also a way for established authors to share their stories, make their works readily available, and encourage others to develop their writing skills.</p> <p>Before you build your web site, here are a few tips that will help you launch your words online.</p> <p>Domain Name Domain names run less than ten dollars a year, so they are quite affordable. What will you tell your online friends about your web site? The obvious choices would be your own name or the title of your book, magazine, newspaper, subject/area of expertise, or some combination of words that accurately represent what you do writing-wise. Make it memorable, and not just a series of numbers and letters. I spoke with a representative of a web hosting company and learned that one of their clients had a complex series of letters and numbers that, when decoded, revolved around the birthdays and anniversaries of his family and pets! If you have a common name and it’s not available, think of what you would like your site to represent. Do you specialize in articles? Books? Short stories? Scholarly works? Screenplays? Children’s books? This is where you will need to conjure up a dynamic and descriptive name that will be online for a long time.</p> <p>Free Web Sites Being on a tight budget might limit your ability to buy a web hosting company’s services. Be warned that you might end up with a site that sends out pop up ads and displays lots of uncontrolled banner advertising, generally other free sites and possibly even porn sites. Another alarming feature is the preponderance of cookies and/or spyware that can result from these types of sites. You will be limited in what you may add, and in how many photos or graphics will be allowed, as the bandwidth is quite limited. This option is acceptable if you plan to maintain a small site or are doing it as a way to get your online start. Remember, you can always upgrade.</p> <p>Fee-Based Web Sites Whether you’re adding one page to the web or thousands, you need to decide which web design program to use. Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Adobe are three of the most popular web design software programs. However, there are many others and some of them are free when you sign up with a web host. Make sure you’re comfortable using the software. While web design software programs come with books, it’s advisable to purchase additional reference books, or check them out of the library. For yet more information, look for various online articles about your chosen web design software.</p> <p>Hosting It If you currently have a reliable ISP such as AOL, MSN, Earthlink, Adelphia, Yahoo, etc., your next step is to find a place where you can launch your site. These ISP’s provide web hosting for various prices, but you should compare hosts. Read reviews at: <a href="http://www.webhostingratings.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.webhostingratings.com</a></p> <p>Here are eight items you should consider.</p> <p>1. Monthly cost – Be aware of the number of limitations and restrictions you’ll encounter. If a web host advertises free space, it might actually mean that such an offer is only for a short period or time, or it’s hidden in the fine print [if at all] on the hosting company’s site. 2. Setup fee – Sometimes a hosting company will charge a small one-time fee, other times they will have a hefty charge. The more services you require such as: multiple e-mail addresses, a shopping cart, forums, streaming audio/video, extra disk space, etc., the higher the amount. 3. Disk space – How many MB [millions of bytes] will you need? You can get as few as 5 MB and as many as 1000 for less than $20 per month. 4. Transfer rate – GB [billions of bytes] of pictures, text, etc. you are allowed to upload onto your site per month. It also applies to what a visitor on your site will be viewing and if you have an exceptionally high rate of traffic you will have to pay for it. Note: please don’t expect a lot of visitors just after your site goes online unless you are appearing on a TV show or your movie is in theatres. 5. Technical support availability – Whether by e-mail, online chat or toll-free number, this is a service that many consider vital, especially if they have no experience with web sites. 6. Reliable uptime – If your host is on downtime that means your site will be unavailable to anyone. Look for a host with no less than 99% uptime. 7. Will any promotional packages be included or is there a fee? 8. If using a program such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage, will the web hosting company charge extra for this service?</p> <p>Navigating Around Your Web Site Consider how to get from your home page [or index page] to other areas of your site via providing text or pictorial links. Many sites utilize a row of well-labeled navigation buttons and/or text links along the top or side. Some utilize both top and bottom for additional ease of use.</p> <p>Since you are creating a showcase for your work[s], remember that having a “long” page where the viewer has to scroll down a lot is annoying. Create your home page in such a way as to have a link to each section of your site. Be careful about adding images, as they can slow things down. Keep pictures in the JPG, JPEG, or GIF formats and as small as possible megabyte-wise, ideally under 50K. I once visited a writer’s site with a huge BMP photo. It dramatically slowed the page’s loading time, even with a high-speed connection, and after waiting for several minutes, I left. You want to invite viewers to stay around and discover your site, not put them to sleep as they await a single item to be unfurled.</p> <p>Perhaps you have written many articles, whether on one topic or several. Instead of slapping them up on your home/index page, treat them with deference, allowing each one its own page. The more pages you maintain, the more likely it is both search engines and potential readers will discover you. In the online world, more is indeed merrier, but it’s also excellence that will bring the guests to your site. You’re a writer; you should be able to breezily inform the online public that your site is worth visiting – and coming back to again and again.</p> <p>Proper Grammar and Spelling Nothing cries out rank amateur louder than poor grammar and spelling on a writer’s web site. Yet I’ve consistently seen such things as this wondrous excerpt: “Heres the deal buy a copy of ‘Title’ by me and give it an honest reveiw of your opion and you could be the lucky winner/owner to a signed copy of six extra poems which were originally cut from the book and will be featured in my next collection ‘Title #2.’” And yes, that author was “published” by a certain scam vanity press.</p> <p>Please write your text on a word processing program before you publish it onto your web site. Even if you don’t have the latest version of Word or WordPerfect, use Notepad as your text editor. Then read whatever you have written aloud, as that’s how you can iron out problems you might not find otherwise. Make sure your prose has a natural flow to it – as though you’re writing a letter to a close friend.</p> <p>Colors of the Web Your literary works/excerpts must stand out, but hopefully not on a starry “Lost in Space” black background with a shimmery silver font. Nor do you always want to use a white background and black font. Simple, contrasting color combinations work best such as a pastel colored background with a black font. Knowing how you react to colors when seeing them online should be your guide. Green is indicative of not just money, but of nature. Light blue is calming but some find it rather depressing. Pink is a decidedly feminine color, while gray and beige are pleasingly neutral hues, which appeal almost equally to men and women.</p> <p>Fonts of Knowledge You can use a larger font, up to a 14-point, as this will be ideal for those Internet weary travelers who are more accustomed to reading in 8 point Verdana or Arial. Don’t use an array of fonts, as this looks unprofessional and can cause readers to have more difficulty reading your words. Don’t use too many colors on a given page, as this makes it more confusing to the eye and is distracting. The biggest error a web design amateur can make is to use a script type font such as Amazone BT or TypoUpright BT and put them in all capital letters. Try it as an experiment and note how awful it looks. Your fonts reflect your words – choose wisely.</p> <p>Brief Biography Tell the world who you are in a few short paragraphs. How did you start writing? What are your qualifications for writing about your topic[s]? List your writing credits and provide links to them if possible. Do you have a unique hobby that makes you stand out? Is your hobby something you have written about?</p> <p>Adding a photograph depends upon how comfortable you are in showing people what you look like. Photography is like writing – it’s an art. If a professional takes your photo, chances are it’ll enhance your site.</p> <p>You’ll want to include excerpts from your books, poems, plays/screenplays, etc. on your site. Don’t publish your entire 499-page novel about the Civil War on one page in 6-point Times New Roman font! If you want to give your book away as an eBook, then please buy a copy of Adobe Acrobat Writer and format it properly.</p> <p>Guestbook Most guestbooks show off how many people, usually friends, relatives, kindly coworkers, and/or other unpublished writers, have added praises about web design and/or literary skills. Sometimes people will add some frank remarks, which will cause you to delete them, thereby wasting time that could have been spent writing. If someone really needs to get in touch with you or is moved by some item on your site, they will contact you via e-mail.</p> <p>Contact Information Suppose we get onto your site and really take to your writing. We want to write you a fan letter, or perhaps a publisher or editor has an assignment for you. With that in mind, please be sure your contact information is easy to find. But if their resource box is <B>lousy</B> and not worded<br /> right they will get minimal, if any traffic. Thats a fact.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> “So,” you ask, “what kind of resource box do I need?”<BR><br /> <BR><br /> You need a resource box that is <I>attention grabbing, heart<br /> stopping, world jolting</I>…. Okay, so maybe thats a wee bit of an<br /> exaggeration!<BR><br /> <BR><br /> What you really need is a resource box that is short and snappy that<br /> asks or tells your prospective customer to take action.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> You shouldn’t make your resource box (also called an Author’s Bio,<br /> About The Author, etc…) very long. You don’t want to bore your<br /> reader with all the details of your writing career.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> Sorry to sound so harsh but on the internet people want to be<br /> <U>entertained and enlightened</U>. They will only read what<br /> interests them.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> If your article is informative and page scrolling (as opposed to page<br /> turning) then you will get a lot of people to read it, but if you<br /> lose them at the start or halfway through your resource box, you<br /> won’t be able to convert them into traffic or buyers. Why??<BR><br /> <BR><br /> Simply because they will never reach any link you provide them with,<br /> they will close the page and go on to read a different article.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> <B><I>You can’t afford to let this happen!<BR><br /> <BR><br /> </I></B>So here’s what you do about it. You keep your resource box at<br /> a maximum of 5 lines long. You tell them to visit your site for more<br /> information on that subject or to opt in for their free newsletter or<br /> report.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> You give them an action to take. Because as surely as you aren’t<br /> specific about what it is that you want them to do next, they<br /> definitely won’t do what you want them to.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> So unless your resource box grabs them with the same intensity as<br /> your article you can kiss those prospective buyers goodbye!<BR><br /> <BR><br /> Another common mistake made by newbie writers is to not make their<br /> website link an active one. This can happen when you just type<br /> <a href="http://www.mysite.com" rel="nofollow">www.mysite.com</a>, instead of putting <a href="http://www.mysite.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.mysite.com</a>, or whatever<br /> the full address is.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> In most cases people are not going to bother to take the time to copy<br /> and paste an inactive link to visit your site.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> So again make sure as much as you can that your link is working. It’s<br /> true that some article databases don’t provide this feature, but the<br /> majority of the article databases do.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> Try going to the article site you posted your article on, as a<br /> browser instead of logging into your writer’s account. Find your<br /> article and <B>test the link</B> in your resource box to see if it<br /> works.<BR><br /> <BR><br /> In conclusion I guess the best way to show you what I mean is to give<br /> an example. So be sure to read my resource box below <img src='http://www.incredits.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> <BR></p> <div style="float: right; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border-width: 1px 1px 1px 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: white; background-color: white"></div> <p>For the best way to profit online and drive targeted cash-in-hand traffic to your website using articles visit Best Web Traffic <=== This method works like crazy!
