My Trip to Jamaica

My spring break in Jamaica was unlike any other I ever had before. I was expecting a trip like those on Girls Gone Wild: revelry, partying, alcohol. Wild days and wild nights.

But what happened is the opposite. I found tranquility and peace — I found myself. I went looking for an escape for my body; I found an escape for my mind.

How did that happen?

It was the cumulative effect of a few different factors:

* The intense sunshine

* The hot weather

* The laughter around me

* The easy mixture of classes

* The luxury of the good life there

* The music

All of these mixed together to let me relax and let go.

Luckily I let myself go wild in a safe environment: a good hotel in Jamaica. The hotel is a good environment to let myself be wild because they will be there to care for me and protect me. That is the fundamental job of the hotel — what is a hotel if not a temporary house? But better, because I don’t have anyone else to clean my house every morning other than myself!

The hotels were clean, safe, well-located. There were lots of hotels to choose from in Jamaica. I stayed in one by the beach. I mean, what is the point of going to Jamaica if you’re not by the beach?

So, here is my recommendation to you all: stay safe, clean, wet. Find tranquility and peace. Watch people smoke and maybe even smoke some yourself. Think about your deep inner emotions. Let yourself go. And, above all, do so in a safe environment, like a good hotel.
